30 Weight-Loss Tips for Your Daily Routine Part 1

Updated on March 17, 2015

Make this as part of your daily routine!

To start with, I would like to say I AM NOT FAT. I am actually petite and dreaming to be little bigger someday. But maybe you will be wondering why my today’s hub talks about weight-loss tips where in fact I won’t be needing it. So here’s why, I have a friend who always want to lose weight. Some of my aunties are already in plus size. I believe most women dream to have a healthy and slimmer body. To look good and stay fit! And so I started looking for the best and natural way to solve this issue.

Does anyone of you love reading reader’s digest? Well, I do. Reader’s digest is one reason why I made reading as a habit. They have great articles to read. And then, I read about this “50 Habits of Naturally Thin People”. This article shares 50 simple ways to make weight loss a natural part of the life you already live. Amazing, right? The great thing about this article is it’s not about diet or giving up your favorite foods and register on gym in order to lose weight. It’s more on balancing your calories for benefits. It is not necessary that you do all 50 tips they share. You can only pick some that you think you can do and then stick with them.

So out of 50, I picked 30 weight-loss tips that I think I can do (if I want to be slimmer) or most of us can do. But for today, I will share 10 out of thirty tips that I liked.

1.Every morning when your eyes open, sit up slowly without using your hands and legs straight. Slowly lean forward until you feel a gentle stretch in your back and hamstring, and then hold it for a couple of seconds. Then using your abs, lower yourself and rest for a bit and repeat two or more times. This will you burn 10 calories.

2.Research shows that the more you eat at the start of the day, the lesser you eat as the day wears on. It’s a great way to add protein on your breakfast meal to keep you feeling full. This helps you save 200 or more calories.

3.While brushing your teeth, try to alternate standing one leg as your switch mouth quadrants (more likely every 30 seconds). This balancing helps develop your core muscles and might be good also for your brain. This balance booster helps burn 10 calories.

4.For those who love coffee, instead of pouring that 1/3 cup of half-and-half into your mug, replace it with the same amount of 2% milk. This helps you save 60 calories.

5.If you want to burn your calories after eating bagel with cream cheese (that’s 500 calories), you can walk 10,000 steps or you can replace it with low-fat spreadable cheese on an English muffin. This will help you save 300 calories.

6.Smarter way of having snacks. Divide your today’s snacks or buy single serving portions. You can also eat lower fat chips. This will help you save 175 calories.

7.At your working place, take advantage of wearing comfy clothes like jeans and khakis. It will blast more calories. Why? Because you can walk more than wearing your suits and skirts. It will help you burn 25 calories.

8.Most of us drink soda. Your body doesn’t register calories from liquids similar from the food we take. Try switching your soda from regular or fruit juice into a diet or flavored seltzer. This helps you save 300 calories.

9.In the office, try to stand up and pace around every time you grab the phone. According to mayo Clinic, heavy people sit on average two and a half hours more per day than thin people. This helps you burn 50 or more calories.

10.Don’t spend your 8 hours sitting on your desk. We were used that whenever we have a message for our colleague, we can simply email them. Pick colleagues that’s a little far from you and deliver those daily messages in person. You can also hit a bathroom or a copier on another floor and use stairs in going there. This will help you burn 100 calories.

I hope you find it helpful and useful. Stay tuned for another 10 tips that I will be sharing on my next hub.
